Nassau Suffolk Building Code Violations Corrections
Correction of Building Code Violations and Summons.
The property owner is required to correct all Building Code Violations and Summons.
The property owner will hire a professional engineer to file plans and applications with
the Building Department for the Department of Buildings violation correction.
When the plans and applications are approved by the Building Department, the
contractor can obtain a construction permit to begin construction to correct the Building
Code Violation.
When the construction work is approved by the Building Department, the owner will obtain a Certificate of Occupancy.
Correction of Summons by filing with the Building Department for construction permit for new or renovated AC Systems Ventilation Systems, Refrigeration Systems and Heat Pump Systems.
Installation of new or modified AC systems and heat pump systems requires filing plans with the Building Department for a construction permit. Once the plans are filed with the Building Department and approved, the contractor can pull the construction permit with the Building Department and start construction. When the new construction for the new or modified AC System Ventilation System, Refrigeration System and Heat Pump System gets final approval from the Building Department, the Equipment Use Permit is issued by the Building Department.
